The Uddingston Pipe Band is a Scottish competition pipe band based in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire. It was formed in 2018 by founder members John Bowes, John Haley, John Cassidy, and Allan Minty, establishing itself separately from the long-running Uddingston Strathclyde Pipe Band. The band was graded in Grade 3A and quickly became active in RSPBA competition, appearing at major championships and Scottish contest days. Although detailed public history is still fairly limited, Uddingston Pipe Band has built its identity as a newer competitive organisation from a town with strong pipe band roots. Its emergence added another chapter to Uddingston’s piping story, but it should not be confused with Uddingston Strathclyde, which has its own separate history dating back to 1972.
