Ballyboley Pipe Band was formed in 1919 by the late Sam Banford in Ballyboley Old School, outside Larne in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The band has strong local roots and remains closely associated with the Ballyboley area, with its centenary marked in 2019.

The band has continued to practise and teach in Ballyboley Old School, supporting players from novice level through to more experienced pipers and drummers. It competes both locally and nationally, and recent public listings describe Ballyboley as a competition band currently competing in Grade 3B.

Over the years, Ballyboley has played its part in the wider Northern Ireland pipe band scene, helping develop players and maintain community piping traditions around Larne. A proper local stalwart: old school by address, old school by attitude, and still giving the contest field a good rattle.
