Dumfries Pipe Band is based in Dumfries, south-west Scotland, and competes within the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association’s Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway branch. The current band is listed as a Grade 4B pipe band, practising at Troqueer Church Hall in Dumfries.

The town has a long piping tradition, including earlier Dumfries pipe band activity and the former Dumfries & Galloway Constabulary Pipe Band, which first appeared publicly around 35 years ago. More recently, local pipe band development was strengthened when Lochmaben and Dumfries pipe bands worked together for several years to encourage young players, leading to a 2018 merger known as Dumfries and Galloway Pipe Band.

Today, Dumfries Pipe Band continues to represent the town through competition, community events and player development, keeping Highland piping and drumming active in Dumfries and the wider region.
