St. Thomas Alumni Pipe Band, based in Houston, Texas, was founded in 1988, originally connected to the Saint Thomas Episcopal School piping programme. It began as the Grade 2 Hamilton Pipe Band, giving St. Thomas graduates somewhere to continue playing after school.

The band later became St. Thomas Alumni Pipe Band and developed into one of the top American pipe bands. It has won the United States national championship twice and was promoted to Grade 1 in 2019.

Today, St. Thomas Alumni is one of only a small number of Grade 1 bands in the United States, alongside City of Dunedin, and regularly represents American pipe banding at major contests, including the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland. Houston with drones, basically.
