About the Band
Phoenix Pipe Band is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and was founded in 1958. It describes itself as Arizona’s longest-running pipe band, with a focus on promoting Scottish bagpiping and drumming through teaching, performance and competition.
The band has developed into both a community and competitive organisation, performing at local events, parades, festivals and competitions while attracting players from across the western United States and Canada. It currently supports an entry-level Grade 5 band and a higher-level Grade 3 competition band.
