About the Band

Peel Regional Police Pipe Band is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and was formed in 1976. The band represents the Peel Regional Police Service and has become one of Canada’s best-known police pipe band organisations.

Over the years, Peel developed a strong competition record, including success in Grade 1. From 2010 to 2014, the band won North American Championship and PPBSO Champion Supreme titles in Grade 1. After restructuring, it moved to Grade 2 in 2017 and rebuilt around a stronger local player base and teaching programme.

The organisation now includes several levels, with Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 5 bands, helping players progress through its development structure. The band also performs at police ceremonies, memorials, recruit graduations, community events and Highland games.

Today, Peel Regional Police Pipe Band remains an important Canadian pipe band organisation, combining police service representation, competition success, teaching and community performance.
