Reading Scottish Pipe Band is based in Reading, Berkshire, and was formed in 1957 by former pipers of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders. Because of that connection, the band wears the Cameron of Erracht tartan.

The band has become one of the best-known pipe bands in the South East of England, performing at fetes, shows, weddings, carnivals, remembrance events and civic occasions across Berkshire and further afield. It has also travelled internationally, with appearances in countries including France, Spain, Italy, Serbia, Sardinia and Japan.

Reading Scottish is a member of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and operates as a registered charity. It supports both performance and player development, including learner and development band activity for pipers and drummers.

Today, Reading Scottish Pipe Band continues to promote Scottish music in Berkshire through public performance, teaching and competition, maintaining a tradition that has been active for more than 65 years.
