City of St. Augustine Pipe Band is based in St. Augustine, Florida, and was founded in 2021 in what the band describes as “the nation’s oldest city.” The band was created to promote Highland piping and drumming in the local community, combining respect for traditional Great Highland Bagpipe music with an interest in musical development and performance.

The band’s stated mission is to promote and educate people of all backgrounds through Celtic music. It also has competitive ambitions, aiming to take part in sanctioned EUSPBA contests and progress to the highest level achievable.

As a young organisation, City of St. Augustine Pipe Band does not yet have the long contest history of older Florida bands such as City of Dunedin, but it has quickly become part of the area’s Celtic and community music scene. It appears in local cultural listings and public performance notices, including events around the St. Augustine Celtic Festival period.
