About the Band
190th Highlanders Pipe Band is a Western New York competition pipe band, drawing members from the Buffalo and Rochester areas. The band appears to be a newer organisation, with a focus on building a competitive playing group for events in the northeastern United States.
The band competes in Grade 5 and has appeared at contests including the Central New York Scottish Games and Ohio Scottish Games. In 2024, 190th Highlanders won the Grade 5 March Set at the Central New York Scottish Games, and in 2025 it continued competing on the regional circuit.
Alongside competition, the band is linked with the wider Western New York piping community, with members also active in local Scottish and Celtic events. Today, 190th Highlanders represents a developing competition band for pipers and drummers across Buffalo, Rochester and the surrounding region.
