About the Band

Saint John Caledonian Pipe Band is based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It is an active Grade 5 band in the Atlantic Canada Pipe Band Association and forms part of the New Brunswick South pipe band scene.

Public information on the band’s early history and founding date is limited, but the band continues the long Scottish and Celtic musical tradition of Saint John and wider Atlantic Canada. It performs at local parades, multicultural events, community celebrations and Highland gatherings, bringing piping and drumming to public occasions in the city.

Today, Saint John Caledonian Pipe Band supports Highland piping and drumming through performance, competition and community participation. It remains one of New Brunswick’s active pipe bands, helping keep Scottish music visible in the Saint John area.
