About the Band

St. Joseph’s Pipe Band is based in Clondalkin, County Dublin, Ireland, and was founded in 1937. The band has been part of the local community for nearly a century, promoting piping and drumming through performances, teaching and competition.

Over the years, St. Joseph’s has built a strong competition record at home and abroad, winning multiple All-Ireland titles and two World Championship titles. Its major successes include winning the Grade 2 World Championship in 1990 and the Grade 3A World Championship in 2019, after which the band was upgraded to Grade 2.

Today, St. Joseph’s continues to operate as a community and competition band, offering tuition to beginner players while representing Clondalkin in Irish and international pipe band competition.
