About the Band

Sons of Holyland & District Pipe Band is based in Nazareth and operates under the Sons of Holyland Association. The association was founded in 2023, although the band was already active internationally before then, including Grade 4B appearances at the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland.

The band was founded and directed by leading drummer Eddy Bathish, with Rosol Eddine noted as Pipe Major of the Grade 4 band. It was created to develop young pipers and drummers through music, discipline, teamwork and international competition experience.

In 2022, Sons of Holyland gained wider attention after an entry issue nearly prevented it competing at the World Championships; the RSPBA later granted special permission for the band to compete in Grade 4B.

Today, Sons of Holyland & District continues to represent Nazareth and the Holy Land through performance, youth development and competition on the international pipe band stage.
