About the Band

Murrumba Pipes & Drums is based north of Brisbane, Queensland, and was established in 1994. The band is part of the Pipe Bands Queensland scene and competes as a Grade 4 pipe band.

The organisation performs at community events, Scottish and Celtic festivals, commemorations and pipe band contests across Queensland and beyond. It has also represented Australia overseas, including appearances in New Zealand and Scotland, and performed during the Piping Live festival period in Glasgow in 2018.

Today, Murrumba Pipes & Drums continues to promote Highland piping and drumming through performance, competition and player development. It remains one of the active pipe bands in the Moreton Bay region, alongside groups such as Redcliffe Scottish Pipe Band and Clan Stuart Pipes and Drums.
