The Glasgow Academy Pipe Band is a school pipe band based at The Glasgow Academy, one of Glasgow’s long-established independent schools. The school itself was founded in 1845, and its pipe band forms part of a wider musical tradition within the Academy.

The band provides pupils with the opportunity to learn and perform Highland piping and drumming, supporting both musical education and Scottish cultural heritage. It competes in the school pipe band scene, including novice juvenile grades, and has represented the Academy at major events such as the World Pipe Band Championships.

Today, The Glasgow Academy Pipe Band continues to develop young pipers and drummers through tuition, performance and competition, helping introduce new generations to the pipe band tradition while representing the school in Scotland’s wider piping community.
