About the Band
St Columba’s School Pipe Band is part of the school’s piping and drumming programme in Kilmacolm, Scotland. The programme teaches bagpipes, snare, tenor, and bass drum, taking pupils from early lessons through development bands into the senior Pipe Band I.
The band has become one of Scotland’s leading school pipe band programmes, with more than 100 pupils involved each year. It performs at school, civic, community, and international events, including Tartan Week in New York.
Competitively, St Columba’s has won UK and Scottish Championship titles, Champion of Champions awards, and the World Championship title in Novice A.
